Rental Terms

OUR RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

  • Renter/rider has to provide a Big Bike License (copies and Learner’s Licenses are not accepted by our insurance) at least valid for the full rental period
  • Motorcycles and helmets can only be personally collected from and returned by renter to our premises at 9 Somerset Road in Cape Town within normal shop hours.
  • On prior request DOT approved Harley-Davidson open face helmets for rider and passenger (incl. souvenir bandanna) are supplied free of charge. Not prior booked helmets can only be supplied when stock lasts. However it is always better to bring your own helmet for maximal comfort and protection.
  • On collection and return the motorcycle and helmet(s) are checked with the renter on existing and new damages. Also for this reason we are unfortunately unable to cater for one-way rentals or drop-off elsewhere.
  • Rental motorcycle will be delivered and so has to be returned with a full tank of fuel.
  • Use of our Harley-Davidson rental motorcycles is only allowed on paved roads. Renter is fully liable for damage caused by use on dirt roads.
  • Renter must be at least 25 years of age, over 1.65 m/5’5”length and have full physical ability.
  • Renter is liable for a maximum of ZAR 10.000 damage excess per incident, which cannot be wavered and must be paid as a deposit on collection of the motorcycle either in cash or as a retainer on a valid credit card. Renter is fully liable for damage caused by use off paved roads.
  • Renter is liable for traffic fines caused by offences committed by him/her (over-speeding, red light, etc.)
  • A 30% deposit is applicable for bookings, which is non-refundable in case of no-show as we block the bike for the dates indicated by you.
  • Bookings are only regarded as confirmed once the 30% deposit has been received in our account.
  • For rental periods and bikes options are valid for 10 days unless indicated otherwise by us.
  • Visa, Master Card and most other credit cards are accepted for payments and deposits.
  • We do reserve the right to change prices and models without prior notice.
  • Prices are confirmed once the deposit has been paid.
  • We do reserve the right to replace models if need arises (damage, mechanical failure, etc.)
  • Full Terms & Conditions of your rental contract are available on request.
