JEFF & BRENDA BLEUSTEIN VISIT OUR DEALERSHIP

On Thursday 9 October Jeff and Brenda Bleustein paid a (complete) surprise visit to Harley-Davidson Cape Town, just to say hi to our Dealer Principal Ad Keukelaar, who they have known since 1993.

Cape Town was their starting point for an extensive private tour all over the African continent. Jeff Bleustein is the retired CEO of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company (1997-2006) and is presently Chairman Of The Board. Jeff and Willie G. Davidson are two of the 13 Directors who did the famous US$ 81.5-million buy-out of the Motor Company from AMF in 1981.

Jeff´s engineering background gave him the nickname ´The Man Who Stopped The Oil Leaks´ as within the AMF period he was responsible for the development of the EVO engine. Under his strategic leadership Harley-Davidson overcame the difficult years and blossomed into the successful company it is nowadays. And although few people here will realise this, in the USA Jeff Bleustein is as much an icon and celebrity as Willie G., David Trump and Bill Gates.
